Home Security Monitoring in Austin: Plans, Takeovers and Service

Professional home security monitoring connects a compatible alarm to a staffed central station that processes programmed signals under the account's instructions. Avenger Security serves Austin and Central Texas, including existing-system takeovers and Alarm.com interactive service.

What the system should protect

Start with exterior entry doors and properly selected interior detection. Depending on the layout, add garage-door contacts, accessible windows, glassbreak detection, smoke or carbon-monoxide devices, and environmental sensors where useful and compatible. Every zone should have a purpose and be tested.

Basic monitoring and interactive service

• Basic residential monitoring: typically $19.99 per month for a compatible system, with alarm signals processed by the central station.
• Alarm.com interactive monitoring: typically $29.99 per month for a compatible system, with supported app controls and notifications.

Avenger Security uses a UL-listed central station. Video, automation, communicator upgrades, installation and special services are separate unless the written proposal includes them. App alerts alone do not replace professional signal handling.

Can your existing system be reused?

Often, yes. We identify the panel, check programming access and communication, and test keypads, sensors, sirens, AC power, backup battery and central-station signals. The old communicator may need an LTE upgrade even when the panel and hardwired sensors remain useful. Proprietary or damaged equipment may need replacement.

What happens at activation?

1. Confirm the equipment and any required repairs or upgrade parts.
2. Program users, zones and response instructions.
3. Test protected openings, motions, panic functions and any compatible life-safety devices.
4. Verify actual signal receipt and update the emergency call list and abort information.

New clients considering new services receive an on-site visit and up to one hour of consultation at no cost. Diagnostics and repairs on an existing system are billed separately; the standard on-site service visit is $195 when applicable.

Service terms

There is no long-term residential monitoring contract. Standard cancellation requires 90 days' notice, and first and last month may be collected at activation. The written proposal controls equipment, labor and selected services.
