DSC PowerG PG9922 Wireless Glass-Break Detector

The DSC PowerG PG9922 is a wireless acoustic glass-break detector for compatible PowerG alarm systems. Its acoustic pattern-recognition technology listens for the sound characteristics of breaking glass and provides 360-degree room coverage when correctly located and tested.

Panel compatibility

DSC identifies the PG9922 as compatible with PowerSeries Neo, PowerSeries Pro, and supported Qolsys panels. Confirm the panel model, firmware, PowerG frequency, and programming support before ordering.

Placement and testing

Detection performance depends on detector location, glass type and size, curtains or blinds, ceiling height, room acoustics, and distance from the protected windows. Install the detector with a clear acoustic path to the glass and test it using the manufacturer-approved procedure. Do not place it where machinery, speakers, kitchens, or other recurring sounds are likely to create unsuitable conditions.

Part of a layered intrusion system

A glass-break detector is normally used with perimeter contacts, motion detection, and appropriate alarm communication. It does not identify an intruder or replace physical window security.
